Creating working environments

Over a three-month phase, we managed the refurbishment from start to finish, removing existing internal structures, ceilings and flooring to accommodate a new and improved showroom, modern furniture and better storage facilities. All elements of the refurbishment works were carried out behind a section of hoarding, supporting staff areas whilst the dealership continued to operate under normal conditions, minimising disruption to new clients visiting the showroom in order to maintain excellent customer experience levels.

The customer experience at The Mon Motors Group led the overall design layout, which included an inviting visitor area with soft furnishings in the coffee bar. High class furnishings were also introduced throughout the meeting rooms to represent Audi’s supreme quality, alongside an open plan showroom demonstrating new vehicles and promotions.

Transforming operations

Realising space was at a premium, The Mon Motors Group introduced the Hänel Lean-Lift into its Parts Departments at Cardiff, Chepstow and Bristol. The aim of automation was to improve productivity in all workshops by increasing speed of pick and operator efficiency in collecting parts and tools.

By utilising height of the buildings instead of floorspace, the systems allowed for additional bays to be introduced into the Parts Department. There is also an improvement to traceability and an added layer of security as the Hänel Lean-Lifts are fitted with access code management at The Mon Motors Group, which gives protection over high value assets and special tools.

The client trusts in the reliability of Hänel technology for enhancing processes and creating efficiencies across The Mon Motors Group sites.

Testimonial

"When we calculated the amount saved in efficiency revenue over a year, it’s about £30,000 thanks to Hänel storage. If you can fit more than one machine in, then do it - it’ll save you a fortune in the long run."
